Marine Energy Systems

We investigate how an existing vessel uses energy during sailing, manoeuvring, loading and unloading and life on board. Vessel Energy MRI informs a suitable combination of selective electrification, shore power, storage and energy control.

Vessel Energy MRI

Selective electrification

We assess which drives, hydraulics and auxiliary systems can be electrified or controlled differently without compromising safety, uptime or core functionality.

Shore power and storage

We design shore power and storage as one system: connection, buffering and charging that fit the quay, grid connection and vessel schedule.

Integrated energy control

We integrate energy control so vessel systems, shore power and surrounding equipment work together and can be monitored and adjusted in practice.

Machines around the vessel

Cranes, yard tractors, lifting equipment, pumps, workshops and charging infrastructure.

Shore power is not a standard plug-and-play solution.

A complete OPS system includes shore- and ship-side installations, protection, control, cable management and operational agreements. EPowerOne starts with measurement and system design and works with qualified partners for regulated ship connections. A mobile PowerPack is only suitable for clearly defined, technically compatible applications.

From investigation to integrated Marine Energy System

EPowerOne uses Vessel Energy MRI to connect vessel operation, shore power, storage and energy control. We design and integrate the selected solution and verify performance in practice.
