We design and build battery packs and complete custom systems in which construction, energy supply, and control come together.
Construction and energy technology from the same design
A battery pack must match the power and operating time of the machine, but also the available space, weight distribution, and maintenance access. That is why we design the power supply and the physical installation together. Our own LFP packs, six electrified aerial work platforms, and the mobile EPowerPack have taught us where those components influence each other in practice.
Samen met Van den Berg Staalbouw
Van den Berg Staalbouw brings expertise in the design, fabrication, and assembly of steel structures. We combine this manufacturing knowledge with our experience in batteries, power electronics, hydraulics, and control systems. This allows us to develop custom support frames, battery enclosures, and complete units, and integrate them seamlessly into existing equipment.
Structural load, fastening, protection, and accessibility for maintenance thus become part of the system design. We coordinate the mechanical and electrical development before construction begins.
Battery packs tailored to your application
We determine the configuration based on the duty cycle: the required power, the energy per deployment, and the available charging time. This is followed by the selection of cells or battery modules, battery management, safety systems, cooling or heating, and the connection to the charger and machine control. Both a custom pack and the integration of existing battery modules can be suitable.
The implementation can be fixed, modular, or mobile. We investigate a swappable pack where it adds value to the operation. Dimensions, weight, connections, and handling are designed together for this purpose.
Building and testing as one system
We establish in advance what the machine or installation must be capable of and how we will test it. Testing includes the coherence between work functions, charging, temperature, operation, and safety systems. Together with our partners, we work from technical assessment to construction, integration, and commissioning.
A first application with room for follow-up
If multiple machines have similar functions, we investigate which modules and interfaces are reusable. An initial version can then form the basis for a series, with adjustments per machine. This way, the investment finds its place in the further development of your equipment.
