EPowerOne Energy Systems
Elektrificatie en energiesystemen, gebouwd op ervaring
We develop and build electric drives, battery packs, and complete energy systems for machines and business locations. We design construction, hydraulics, storage, and control in conjunction. Our experience with 700 V DC, DC-DC charging, and servo control forms a practical basis for this.
From converting existing equipment to coordinating generation, storage, charging, and consumption: EPowerOne provides research, engineering, control, construction, and integration. We also apply that knowledge to energy systems in and around the ship.

Experience you see reflected in our solutions
We have converted various heavy existing diesel construction machines to high-voltage 700 V DC. For Van den Berg Staalbouw, we have electrified Aichi aerial work platforms, among others. Battery, charging facility, servo motor, hydraulics, and control systems are integrated into the existing machines and electrically and hydraulically optimized for the longest possible use on the construction site.
We build our own safe LFP battery packs in-house. We understand the relationship between cells, battery management, safety, and the machine, and we optimize these. Together with Van den Berg Staalbouw, we also contribute construction and manufacturing expertise for custom battery packs and complete systems (fixed and mobile).
Â
We have experience in executing large solar projects. We realized commercial solar power systems for Bergnet, including in Almere and Blaricum. We also bring experience in project management and roof construction engineering for large-scale solar roofs.
We develop and build mobile energy systems in-house. We designed and built the EPowerPack for mobile power supply, applied, among other things, to a Spierings AT598. A compact system where power, energy capacity, and usage are designed together.
Machine research and Machine Energy MRI
Do you want to know if an existing machine can be improved or electrified? We investigate the technical condition and the work cycle: driving, lifting, pumping, waiting, and peak load. With this, we compare continuing to work, adapting, and replacing based on technical feasibility, costs, and deployability.
Shipping
We develop energy systems around the actual deployment of the vessel. From Vessel Energy MRI and the electrification of pumps or deck functions to the connection of shore power, EPowerPack Marine, storage, and control. Sailing, working, and staying at the quay each get a suitable place in the design.
How can we help you
Building and construction
We develop electric work drives and energy supplies for construction equipment and construction sites. In doing so, we look at the machine, available construction power, charging, and work planning together. The six electrified Aichi aerial work platforms, the Spierings application with EPowerPack, and Green Heavy Lifting show the line from realized technology to further development.
Buildings and business processes
With a Building and Organization MRI, we examine your energy usage in relation to business operations. We investigate installations, production, planning, generation, and the grid connection. You receive a substantiated sequence for improvement, control, and investment. Our large solar projects for Bergnet and experience with charging facilities and power control form a practical basis for this. The analyses for Van den Berg Staalbouw and De Palingfabriek demonstrate the approach.
Railways, mining and industry
Limited working time, heavy or variable loads, limited charging options, and little installation space require a cohesive design. We connect machine research with custom work in construction, battery, hydraulics, and control. From an electric work function to a phased conversion of multiple machines: we design based on current usage and the next step.
Practical cases

Six Aichi aerial work platforms: from diesel to 700 V DC
Realized electrification
A realized retrofit with LFP battery packs, servo-controlled hydraulics, and integrated charging and control technology. For Van den Berg, we brought together battery, charging facility, motor, hydraulics, and control in six existing machines.
Spierings AT598: electric hoisting with EPowerPack
Realised system integration
Own mobile energy storage combined with an electric, servo-hydraulic drive for the superstructure. We designed and built the EPowerPack and integrated it into the hoisting mechanism.

Bergnet: large solar projects at business locations
Realized solar power systems
Realized solar power systems in Almere and Blaricum. We connect our solar experience with current questions about consumption, storage, and grid capacity.

Practical experience as a starting point. Orange Space as an approach.
During a conversion, we experience how the machine behaves: while waiting, during hydraulic movements, and while loading. We see which settings make a difference in daily use. We use that experience to design a subsequent application as a whole.
We call this our Orange Space approach: retaining valuable technology and specifically developing what makes the work function better. We also record how the chosen modification fits with later expansion, electrification, or repetition on other machines.
Understand and measure. We investigate the work cycle, energy demand, and technical limitations. A Machine Energy MRI or Building and Organization MRI can be the first step for this.
Reduce losses and design. We first improve the operation and control. Then we determine appropriate drive, storage, and charging facilities.
Build and adjust. We bring construction, battery, drive, and control together. We work out the necessary custom constructions with Van den Berg Staalbouw.
Test and further develop. We test the agreed performance and use the results for further improvement and subsequent projects.
